Two OFCA's Officers Honored with The Ombudsman’s Award 2024 for Officers of Public Organisations


Two staff members of OFCA, including Public Affairs Division's Customer Service Officer, Miss Jamie CHIM and Inspector of Telecommunications (Broadcasting Support), Mr Louis FAN, received The Ombudsman's Award 2024 for Officers of Public Organisations for their professional and outstanding performance in handling public complaints and providing assistance to the public in relation to TV reception. In addition to demonstrating their professionalism in and dedication to their jobs, they also showed empathy and provided additional assistance to the complainants in handling the requests and complaints.

Director-General of Communications, Mr Chaucer LEUNG; Assistant Director (Support), Mr Kingsley YEUNG; Head of Public Affairs, Miss Diana FU; Senior Telecommunications Engineer (Broadcasting Support), Ms Annie LO, and Public Affairs Manager, Ms Petrina WONG, attended the Ombudsman's Awards Presentation Ceremony to congratulate the two staff members on their receipt of the awards and took commemorative photos with them.

The Ombudsman's Awards are presented to acknowledge government departments/public organisations which show professionalism in handling complaints and help foster a positive complaint culture in the public sector. Individual public officers are also honoured at the Awards for their significant contributions to improving public service over a sustained period of time through handling complaints and redressing grievances. This year, a total of 79 public officers are recognised for their outstanding performance. OFCA will continue to strive for the provision of efficient and excellent professional services to the public.
