The Commerce and Economic Development Bureau (CEDB) and the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) jointly hosted the Launch Ceremony of the Enhanced Industry Regulatory Scheme for Marketing Calls on 26 June 2024. Twelve trade associations from seven industries, namely finance, insurance, telecommunications, call centres, beauty, estate agencies and money lenders, together launched the enhanced Industry Regulatory Scheme for Marketing Calls to further expand and strengthen industry regulation of marketing calls.
To raise public awareness of the Scheme and encourage industries’ participation, OFCA also launched the new logo of the Scheme. The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau; the Director-General of Communications, Mr Chaucer Leung; Legislative Council Member Mr Shiu Ka-fai; the Executive Director (Banking Conduct) of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Mr Alan Au; and the Chief Executive Officer of the Estate Agents Authority, Ms Ruby Hon, unveiled the new logo at the launch ceremony.
