The sender of a commercial electronic message might have contravened the UEMO if:
- you still receive commercial electronic messages (except those you have given consent to) from the sender ten working days after you have registered you number onto the relevant Do-not-call Register;
- you still receive commercial electronic messages from the sender ten working days after you have made an "unsubscribe request" to him/her;
- the sender does not provide an "unsubscribe facility" in the commercial electronic messages for you to make an "unsubscribe request";
- the sender does not provide his/her name, contact telephone number and address* in the commercial electronic message; OR
- the sender has concealed the calling number display when sending commercial electronic messages from a fax or telephone number.
* For short messages, the sender can omit his/her address from the message if this can be obtained from the contact telephone number given in the message. For email messages, the sender must also provide his/her contact email address in addition to the address of the place of business.
