Domestic free television programme services are available for reception by domestic premises free of charge in Hong Kong.
There are four domestic free television broadcasters in Hong Kong, namely, Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), HK Television Entertainment Company Limited (HKTVE), i-CABLE HOY Limited (i-CABLE HOY) and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK).
Pay TV services refer to the television programme services which are available for reception by those who subscribe to them. Very often, these recipients are domestic households or hotel industry. Domestic pay TV programme services are primarily targeted at Hong Kong and are currently provided by Now TV Limited (formerly PCCW Media Limited).
Analogue sound broadcasting in Hong Kong uses the popular AM frequencies (526.5 - 1606.5 kHz) and FM frequencies (88 - 108 MHz). Hong Kong has 14 radio channels - three are operated by Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Company Limited, three by Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited and eight by Radio Television Hong Kong.
