The Communications Authority has launched a promotion truck tour campaign themed "My Promise against Phone Scams" in order to further promote anti-deception messages on phone scams. The campaign aims to remind members of the public to always stay vigilant against unknown telephone calls and short messages, and that to avoid being scammed, they should under no circumstances disclose their personal or account information or transfer money to unknown callers and senders of short messages. The promotion truck will tour around to and park at different locations in all 18 districts of Hong Kong from 11 December to 22 December 2023 for 12 days.
There are educational activities on the promotion truck, such as the "My Promise against Phone Scams" tongue twister and "Beware of Phone Scams Dos' and Don'ts" games to remind the public stay vigilant against unknown telephone calls and short messages at all times.
Apart from the fun games, the promotion truck also shows other relevant information to reinforce the anti-phone scam messages and distributes promotional leaflets and souvenirs1.
