OFCA - Tariffs of Fixed Network Operators

New T&T Hong Kong Limited ('New T&T') hereby publishes the following Tariff for new service and revision to General Terms and Conditions of Service and existing Tariff pursuant to its Fixed Telecommunication Network Services Licence with effect from 24th December 1997.


A. Centrex service


The following are additional services and features now available for New T&T's Centrex service:

Change Number Announcement Service


Change Number Announcement (CNA) service is available to Customers who change to New T&T as their telecommunication provider and adopt a New T&T directory number. With CNA, callers to the Customer's former directory number will hear an announcement that the dialled number is not available and the caller will be advised of the new number to call.

C. Revision to General Terms and Conditions of Service


Clause 2.1 is amended by inserting:

" 'Hong Kong' has the meaning ascribed to that term in the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 1)"


Clause 4.4 is amended by inserting:

    • "(f)
    • for purposes not authorised by New T&T."


Clause 6 is amended to read as follows:

"The Customer must allow or obtain the required permission to enable New T&T's employees or agents to enter at all reasonable times into the premises where the Services will be provided to inspect, test, install, maintain, replace and remove the Services or Equipment prior to, during and after the provision of the Services, as well as to inspect any other equipment used in or in connection with the Services. The Customer will provide safe access to the premises and safe conditions for New T&T's employees or agents whilst in the premises."


Clause 11(d) is amended to read as follows:

    • "(d)
    • if in the reasonable opinion of New T&T there is, has been or may be unauthorised or fraudulent use of the Service;"


Clause 11 is amended by inserting:

    • "(j)
    • if New T&T is obliged to comply with a direction or request of the TA or other competent government authority."


Clause 15.3 is amended to read as follows:

"The Contract and the transactions contemplated by the Contract are governed by the law in force in Hong Kong and each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Hong Kong and courts of appeal from them for determining any dispute concerning the Contract and the transactions contemplated by the Contract."


A new clause 15.8 is inserted which reads as follows:

"No delay, neglect or forbearance on the part of New T&T in enforcing against the Customer any term or condition of the Contract shall either be or be deemed to be a waiver or in any way prejudice any right of New T&T under the Contract."


A new clause 15.9 is inserted which reads as follows:

"These Conditions may be amended from time to time by New T&T. Such amendments shall become effective when published, advertised or notified to the Customer by such means as New T&T thinks fit and shall be binding on the Customer if the Customer continues to use any of the Services after the effective date thereof."


All other charges and conditions in the Tariffs and General Terms and Conditions of Service shall remain unchanged.

New T&T Hong Kong Limited ("New T&T") hereby publishes the following Tariff for new service pursuant to its Fixed Telecommunication Network Services Licence with effect from 31st December 1997.


IP Connect Network Service


IP Connect Network Service is a public managed Internet Protocol (IP) data network in Hong Kong which provides services for data communications and networking. This Service allows a Customer to provide remote access service by leased circuits* access and dial-up access for users to its host network. Typical applications include Bulletin Board Access, Database Access, Electronic Mail, Electronic File Transfer.
