FIXED TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK SERVICES LICENCE
TELECOMMUNICATION ORDINANCE (Chapter 106)
In accordance with General Condition 20 of the Fixed Telecommunication Network Services Licence, Hong Kong Telephone Company Limited, Hong Kong Telecom International Limited and Hong Kong Telecom CAS Limited (the Company) hereby publishes the tariffs, the terms and conditions under which it will provide the following telecommunication service with effect from 17th May 1999 to 16th June 1999.
(A) PARTICULAR OF SERVICE
i) Business IDD May Bonus"
ii) Service details
The Business IDD May Bonus ("Promotion") is a promotional pricing scheme provided by Hong Kong Telephone Company Limited (HKTC) which offers an attractive international call usage rebate ("Promotional Country Rebate") to the registered customers of the Super International Call Plan, China Savings Plan and Frequently Called Destinations Plan ("Call Plans") in respect of HKTC "International Calls" which include HKTC's IDD001, IDD002, IDD200 (calling card), 0060/0062 calls and any other call types notified to the Customer by HKTC.The Promotional Country Rebate is available to all registered accounts of the Call Plans.
To enjoy the offers available under the Promotion, customers are required to register under the Call Plans and the Promotion. All the customers registered under the Call Plans and the Promotion before or during the Promotion Periods can enjoy the Promotional Country Rebate.
(B) TARIFF i) Charges
The Promotion is provided free of charge.

See Clause 3 of Special Conditions of Business IDD May Bonus.
(C) CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The General Conditions of Service for Hong Kong Telecom International Limited, HKTC and Hong Kong Telecom CAS Limited, Special Conditions of Super International Call Plan, Special Conditions of China Savings Plan, Special Conditions of Frequently Called Destinations Plan and Special Conditions of Business IDD May Bonus apply.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
BUSINESS IDD MAY BONUSBusiness IDD May Bonus ("Promotion") is available to each Customer of Hong Kong Telephone Company Limited ("HKTC") subject to these Special Conditions, the Special Conditions of Super International Call Plan, the Special Conditions of China Savings Plan, the Special Conditions of Frequently Called Destinations Plan (the "Call Plans Special Conditions") and the General Conditions of Service of Hong Kong Telecom International Limited, HKTC and Hong Kong Telecom CAS Limited (the "General Conditions") (together, the "Conditions"):
1. SCOPE OF THE PROMOTION 1.1 The Promotion applies to all calls made by Customers registered under HKTC's Super International Call Plan, China Savings Plan or Frequency Called Destinations Plan ("Call Plans") as specified in the 'Promotional Country Rebate' below by using HKTC "International Calls" which include HKTC's IDD001, IDD002, IDD200 (calling card), 0060 and 0062 calls and any other call types notified to the Customer by HKTC.
1.2 The Promotion will operate from 17th May 1999 to 16th June 1999 ("Promotion Period").
2. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION To enjoy the offers under the Promotion, Customers are required to register under the Call Plans and the Promotion. All Customers registered under the Call Plans and the Promotion before or during the Promotion Period can enjoy the 'Promotional Country Rebate'.
3. PROMOTION RATE
3.1 If the Customer registers under the Call Plans and the Promotion and if the Montly Spending to all countries (Overall Monthly Spending) of the Customer exceeds $2,000, then the Customer, subject to clauses 3.3 and 3.4, can enjoy free minutes ("Free Minutes") in the following billing month.
3.2 Monthly Spending means monthly bill amount of International Calls of the Customer issued by HKTC which covers at least one day of Promotion Period.
3.3 For Customer with Overall Monthly Spending over HK$2,000 reaching the following Specified Monthly Spending, HKTC will credit Free International Call Minutes as specified in clause 3.4 to the customer.

Definition of Promotional Routes:
Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Irish Republic, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA, Liechtenstein, Puerto Rico, San Marino, Vatican City, French Guyana, French West Indies, Mayotte, Reunion, Saint Pierre and Miquelon.
3.4 For Customer fulfilling the requirements as specified in clause 3.3, HKTC will credit Free International Call Minutes as specified below to the Customer.

3.5 Unused Free International Call Minutes can be carried forward to the next two billing months. Afterwards, the unused Free International Call Minutes will be waived.
3.6 Apart from the Free International Call Minutes for Australia, Canada, UK and USA, all other discounts of the Call Plans remain the same.
3.7 If the Customer registers the Promotion, any promotion offers of Super International Call Plan - Special Promotion Price, US/Canada Fortune Bonus and any other promotions, if any, to the Customer will automatically terminated at the time of registration.
4. FEE The Promotion is provided free of charge.
5. GENERAL
5.1 HKTC's obligation to perform any of the Conditions either in whole or in part will be suspended in the event that it is not reasonably able to perform those obligations as a result of causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, war, the threat of imminent war, riots or other acts of civil disobedience, insurrection, acts of God, restraints imposed by Governments or any other supranational legal authority or any other industrial or trade disputes, fires, explosions, storms, flood, lightning, earthquake and other natural calamities or any obligation under any licence.
5.2 The Customer shall not assign or transfer any of its rights, benefits and obligations under the Promotion.
5.3 In the event that there is any conflict between the General Conditions (as supplemented by the Call Plans Special Conditions) and these Special Conditions, these Special Conditions will prevail to the extent of that inconsistency.
5.4 These Special Conditions are available in English and in Chinese. The English version is the governing version and shall prevail whenever there is any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version.

In accordance with General Condition 20 of the Fixed Telecommunication Network Services Licence, Hong Kong Telephone Company Limited, Hong Kong Telecom International Limited and Hong Kong Telecom CAS Limited (the Company) hereby publishes the following revision to its Special Conditions of Residential Call Plan Promotion Rate (formerly named as "Frequently Called Numbers Promotion") with effect from 6th May 1999 to 31st May 1999.The first paragraph, clauses 1, 2, 3 and 5.3 of the Special Conditions will be substituted as follows ---
"The Residential Call Plan Promotion Rate ("Promotion") is available to each Customer of Hong Kong Telephone Company Limited ("HKTC") subject to these Special Conditions, the Special Conditions of Frequently Called Numbers, the Special Conditions of Greater China Savings Plan, the Special Conditions of Volume Savings Plan and the General Conditions of Service of Hong Kong Telecom International Limited, HKTC and Hong Kong Telecom CAS Limited (the "General Conditions") (together, the "Conditions"):
1. Scope of the Promotion
1.1 The Promotion applies to all 0060 and 0062 calls made by Customers registered under HKTC's Frequently Called Numbers, Greater China Savings Plan and Volume Savings Plan ("Call Plans") to the specified destinations as set out in 'Promotion Rate' below.
1.2 The Promotion will operate from 6th May 1999 to 31st May 1999. ("Promotion Periods")
2. Account Registration 2.1 All customers registered under the Call Plans before and during the Promotion Periods can enjoy the Promotion Rates.
3. Promotion Rate
3.1 If the Customer registers under the Call Plans, then the Customer can enjoy the Promotion Rate for 0060/0062 calls as specified in Clause 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4. The Customer's usage charged at the Promotion Rate will be invoiced to an account registered under the Call Plan during the Promotion Periods.
3.2 The following Promotion Rate applies to the registered customers of Frequently Called Numbers.

3.4 The following Promotion Rate applies to the registered customers of Volume Savings Plan.

3.5 For Customers registered under the Frequently Called Number, the Promotion Rate is the minimum rate to be applied and the Customers will not receive any additional discount on the Promotion Rate for calls made to the specified destinations during the Promotion Periods.
3.6 For Customers registered under the Greater China Savings Plan or the Volume Savings Plan, volume discounts of the call plans remain unchanged and are applicable to the chargeable usages of the Customers.
5.3 In the event that there is any conflict between the Conditions (as supplemented by the Call Plans Special Conditions) and these Special Conditions, these Special Conditions will prevail to the extent of that inconsistency." All other Special Conditions filed by the Company to date remain unchanged.
