- You may use call filtering value-added services (VAS)* or call filtering apps to reduce the risk from scam calls or nuisance from telemarketing calls.
- Major mobile service providers are offering call filtering VAS to their customers. Some of these call filtering VAS are free or free for trial. You may contact the relevant mobile service providers for details.
- In addition, call filtering apps provided by third party software developers are available on the market offering similar call filtering functions (users may be required to view advertisements or pay additional charge to use the apps). Smartphone users can download these apps to help screen suspected scam calls and spam calls. Some commonly used call-filtering apps are provided below for reference.
- You should pay attention to the terms and conditions about accessing personal data when choosing the apps, and consider whether the apps are reputable and offer the functionality that suit your needs.
